CTO

Malte has been writing IMG.LY's code since before there was much of it, and he's spent most of it deep in the engine, where the rendering happens and the hard problems live. He came up through the stack from iOS to deep learning to CTO, and he still knows where every wire runs. Fittingly for someone who builds photo tools, he shoots his own: an amateur photographer and happy drone owner with a taste for landscapes, often taken from several hundred feet up. And at every company retreat, he's the one quietly getting the best candid shots of the team.
