CE.SDK v1.63 Release Notes

This release makes creative workflows smoother across every platform.
Users on macOS can now edit videos directly in Safari. Additionally, the web editor gets a new built-in color picker for faster color selection. On mobile, creators can now edit grouped elements and use ready-made font combinations to design faster and stay on brand.

Let’s dive in!

Bring Powerful Video Editing to Safari Users

CE.SDK now supports playback and editing video in Safari 26.0 and higher on macOS. Give your users on Mac full access to pristine, browser-based video editing.

This update lets your users create, animate, preview, and edit videos directly in Safari with the same CE.SDK features they already know from Chrome and Microsoft Edge.

For your product, this means broader reach and platform consistency, enabling you to deliver a pristine editing experience that feels native everywhere.

Use A Color Picker Inside Your Editor

Users can now sample colors from anywhere on their screen and apply them directly in the web editor with the new built-in color picker.

It’s a fast, intuitive way to match brand colors or grab inspiration without typing in hex codes or switching tools. Supported in Chrome, Edge, and Opera for Web.

Improvements

Edit Groups in Videos on Mobile

Scenes that include grouped elements can now be uploaded into the Mobile Video Editor, allowing users to move and edit groups and ungroup the elements when needed.

While group creation itself is not yet available on mobile, this update brings better parity with the web editor and a more efficient editing workflow on smaller screens.

Use Font Combinations for Videos on Mobile

Asset sources in the Mobile Video Editor now support font combinations for Video on iOS and Android.

For your product, this means faster user activation and higher content output. Presets help new users create great-looking designs instantly, while giving brands a consistent, on-trend look.

Select & Resize with Precision

Working with small or zoomed-out elements is now more precise across platforms. Resize handles remain visible even on tiny elements or at low zoom levels, ensuring users can always resize. This improves control and precision in dense designs and complex layouts, keeping editing predictable at any zoom level.

Enhanced Developer Experience

We’ve added new resources to help developers create richer, more flexible experiences with CE.SDK.

Generate Captions, Translations and Effects with Audio Export

Our new Audio Export Guide shows how to extract audio directly from scenes or blocks to create auto captions, translations, and automated transcripts. Or process audio externally for creative effects!

This makes it easier to extend CE.SDK beyond editing, helping you power smarter, more accessible, and more engaging media tools.
