Sometimes the creative process requires the removal of an image’s background to achieve the perfect design. With IMG.LY’s background removal, it can be done quickly and easily.

We offer a standalone background removal javascript library as well as a direct integration into CE.SDK with our CE.SDK Background removal plugin.

## How to use the background removal plugin

The process of image matting doesn’t require any technical skills. Here are 3 easy steps to follow:

- **Select** - Select an image on the canvas.
- **Activate Plugin** - Click the “BG Removal” button to start the process. The plugin will process the image and automatically detect the foreground subject from the background.
- **Editing** - Once the background is removed, users can continue the their creative process inside CE.SDK.
